Bird Walk at the Hardigree Wildlife Sanctuary

Event Date:
Sunday, May 6, 2018 - 8:00am

The Oconee Rivers Audubon, the Hardigree Wildlife Sactuary, and Wild Birds Unlimited of Athens, will be hosting a bird walk at the Hardigree Wildlife Sanctuary at 8:00AM.  This is a Sunday walk.

The Hardigree Wildlife Sanctuary is located at  1110 Old Greensboro Rd just South of Watkinsville.  It consists of 88 acre of natural habitat, an ideal setting for outdoor education programs and wildlife viewing.  The Sanctuary has many amenities such as a pavilion, restrooms, nature trails, outdoor chapel, and fishing pond.  The bird walk starts at 8 am and it is recommended that you arrive 10-15 minutes early.  Follow the Google Maps link to HWS, drive through the gate and take the left road until you see the pond on your right.  The bird walk starts at the pond.
